Katie is the newest addition to the Assembly Line Studios staff. Katie  is  best known for her work at XM Satellite Radio where she worked as an engineer in the prestigious Performance Theatre.  If you ever heard a live performance by a band on Liquid Metal like Soulfly (Roadrunner Records), Candiria (Type A/Sony) or Lamb of God (Epic Records), it was Katie manning the mix. No puns intended.

Her talents haven’t stopped at metal though, her live performance mixes include the likes of jazz great Larry Carlton, Rich Robinson of the Black Crowes, Gavin DeGraw, Switchfoot, Musiq Soulchild and many others.  Katie could also be heard over the airwaves as a DJ every night Monday through Friday on Channel 42, the now defunct Liquid Metal.

With a degree in audio engineering from Ohio University, Katie has now become a professional in the Pro Tools world.  Polishing her skills at Clean Cuts Music, she works in over nine Pro Tools rooms mixing and sound designing everything from commercial radio to post for television.  Katie has spent her years prior in other music studios producing, engineering and mixing everything from solo artists to full band productions; so you can be sure she has no sweat adapting to any and all situations.  In addition to being a joy to work with, Katie is well connected and well respected in the local scene as a “go to” person for her connections with not only the radio world, but also with signed bands and getting your music to the right people.  Welcome icing on the cake for any band looking for a studio with the extra edge for your next project.
